BEGINNING MARCH 4 th
Learn to draw with great accuracy utilizing the methods of sight size and comparative measurement. Begin drawing simple Bargue plates that will introduce you to the methods and techniques. After working on a couple of Bargue plates you progress to drawing casts, again beginning with a simple cast and then progressing to more complex casts. You will improve observational skills and develop a process for drawing through working on plates and from life.
We will cover topics such as shape, value, proportion, and light. Students will gradually be introduced to more advanced projects as they progress. Class size is small and students will receive individual instruction.
INSTRUCTOR: DIANA PRISCILIA SOLIS
Diana Priscila Solis is a contemporary figure and portrait painter from Las Vegas, NV. After studying Art history at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, she received formal training in drawing and painting at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. Upon graduating in late 2017, she has been focusing on creating a body of work, teaching, and selling from her studio. Her work can be seen in collections throughout the US and has participated in group shows in The United States and in Europe. She currently works and resides in Los Angeles
