HIPPO FACTORY
YOUNG URBAN ARTIST OUTREACH
OUR MISSION
HIPPO FACTORY YOUNG URBAN ARTIST OUTREACH provides youth from the ages of 12-17 with practical art training and mentoring by world renowned artists. The program is designed to bring high level art instruction to members of the community that can not afford professional art workshops.
The ultimate purpose is to enrich young lives. Improving the world - one child at a time.
HIPPO FACTORY YOUNG URBAN ARTIST OUTREACH offers full workshop scholarships to a quota of low income students to participate within a regular Hippo Factory artist workshops. We feel it is important to mix people from all backgrounds in the same workshop. Uniting people from all walks of life normalizes the experience for scholarship participants and creates a bridge to connect with people from outside the community. It also facilitates greater understanding of the issues facing low income students.

HIPPO FACTORY YOUNG URBAN ARTIST OUTREACH is the passion project of artists KATE ZAMBRANO and NEIL ABRAMSON. Both deeply understand the importance of art and expression for personal growth and employment. Driven by the question, “How can we help young inner city
artists reach their potential?” They have formed the Hippo Factory outreach to give opportunity to young artists who can not afford access to world renown art teachers.
